On June 7th, 2011 we announced with profound sorrow that the initiator and driver of Pewano,
Pelle Wallentheim, due to illness suddenly passed away. Pelle was a great entrepreneur and a
dedicated motor enthusiast with an explicit goal - to bring Cross Country Rally on the Swedish
map, and put a Swedish team on the international map. He wanted to show the existence of
knowledge in Scandinavia to build competitive Rally Raid cars.
But Pewano started not only as a project to build a successful team to the Dakar.
Pewano was one of Pelle’s big life dreams. We now continue with a great project, together with
pursuing a lifelong dream. All who was given the chance of getting to know Pelle knows that he would
not have wanted it in any other way. Pelle’s spirit is ever present in our minds and future work.
We remember with joy and pride.
